Celestial Sounds Studio was founded in 2010 by Elias Thorne, a seasoned audio engineer with over two decades of experience in the music industry. Initially, the studio focused primarily on recording and mixing services. As the demand for mastering and other audio production services grew, Celestial Sounds expanded its offerings to include mastering, voice-over recording, podcast production, and audio restoration. Over the years, we have worked with a diverse range of artists across various genres, including pop, jazz, hip-hop, classical, and more. Our commitment to quality and attention to detail have earned us a reputation as one of the leading recording studios in New York City.
In 2018, Celestial Sounds underwent a major renovation, upgrading its equipment and facilities to meet the ever-evolving needs of the music industry. We invested in new high-end microphones, preamps, consoles, and software, ensuring that our clients have access to the best tools available. We also redesigned our live room and isolation booths to optimize acoustics and create a more comfortable recording environment. Elias Thorne is the founder and chief engineer of Celestial Sounds Studio. With over 20 years of experience in the music industry, Elias has worked with a wide range of artists and genres. He holds a degree in Audio Engineering from the Institute of Audio Research and is certified in Pro Tools and Logic Pro X. Elias is passionate about helping artists achieve their sonic vision and is known for his attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Elias's expertise spans across all aspects of audio production, from recording and mixing to mastering and audio restoration. He is also a skilled musician and songwriter, which gives him a unique perspective on the creative process. Serena Vega
Mixing & Mastering Engineer
Serena Vega is a mixing and mastering engineer at Celestial Sounds Studio. Serena has a deep understanding of music theory and production techniques, allowing her to create mixes and masters that enhance the emotional impact of the music. Serena holds a degree in Music Production from NYU and has worked on numerous award-winning albums and singles. She is skilled in a variety of genres and is known for her ability to bring out the best in any recording.
Serena is also a talented DJ and electronic music producer. Her passion for music extends beyond the studio, and she is actively involved in the electronic music community. She is committed to helping artists achieve their goals and is dedicated to providing exceptional service to every client.
Jaxon Reed
Recording Engineer & Producer
Jaxon Reed is a recording engineer and producer at Celestial Sounds Studio. With a background in both music performance and audio engineering, Jaxon brings a unique perspective to the recording process. Jaxon holds a degree in Music Technology from the Manhattan School of Music and has worked with a diverse range of artists, from rock bands to classical ensembles. He is skilled in a variety of recording techniques and is passionate about capturing the authentic sound of each performance.
Jaxon is also an accomplished musician and songwriter. His passion for music informs his approach to recording and producing, allowing him to create recordings that are both technically sound and artistically compelling.
